i don’t really agree with the criticism of taylor’s boyfriend thing (it’s just not something i personally care about) but the “me feminism”/“billionaire feminism” thing is so real!!! i don’t reallly think she should be anything other than that because like it wouldn’t be coming from a genuine place. but i do think people need to stop building her up as this amazing moral figure because it’s just not true! most celebs aren’t

I agree with Ashley about dating! It's truly just to find out if you get along with someone romantically, it's not that deep. You can definitely learn about yourself from dating, but you can learn about yourself from anything. And sometimes it is just a waste of two hours and I'd rather it be that then some big lesson about my psyche.

Accepting maybe you will never find your person really resonated with me! After a few shit men and a fair bit of trauma, I'm finally trying to accept maybe it will never happen. I'm far better putting that energy back into myself just for myself. Not to become the ultimate girlfriend and finally 'earn' that perfect guy. Not to do a hobby because hey maybe I'll meet someone. Im trying to become the best version of me, literally just for me. Also I'm in my mid thirties, I've learnt plenty about myself and when I want to learn more, I read or go to therapy. Some bad date rarely teaches me anything except that dating often sucks.

You guys really put yourself in the trenches of some shitty shitty content for us and I feel like people don’t appreciate it enough. I’ve never seen an episode of VPR but I don’t have to because I get to just listen to you tell me the funny parts and then im in on the joke whenever I see clips. I don’t get people who hate the VPR talk. I don’t watch but because of you I can engage in a conversation with friends who do. Although some of them do have very different opinions than you so that has created some debate. And omg do I agree about reddit snark pages. I accidentally came across one for Hilaria Baldwin when her whole scandal broke and it was fucking nuts. This is a person I don’t like either. I don’t like her husband. But one day and I was about to start white knighting her.

I agree with Claire almost a 100%. If a book came out and said “you may never find the love” it would not go over well. As a person dating, I don’t wanna hear that. I also think that’s not helpful and pretty disheartening someone who is dating. I don’t love Tinx but I think her dating advice is pretty solid. Also, some of what she said is pretty different than what other “dating coaches,” on social media says. So many tik toks tell girls “do this and a rich guy will like you,” but Tinx is literally saying “be yourself, do your own thing, and the right guy will come along,” which IS a much healthier approach.

I agree with everything you said about Taylor. The way her fans think they’re her friends and would defend anything is so insane to me. And not everything is a fucking Easter egg!!! I’ve been a fan since debut but fell off during 1989-deputation because she annoyed me so much. It’s definitely happening again, I’m so irritated lol
