The road you have chosen will be difficult, fraught with challenges. However, as you will learn in the Academy, Shinobi are those who endure. They are those who protect their comrades, and those that uphold the Will of Fire.”
“What’s the Will of Fire Hokage-sama?” My gaze shot towards the clueless civilian child who had spoken up. As did the rest of the class. To my surprise, I recognized her. Sakura Haruno.
“That is a good question, child.” Hiruzen murmured, smiling. “The Will of Fire is what gives Konoha Shinobi strength beyond Chakra, beyond Jutsu. It is the will to protect those precious to you, to protect the village, and, to each individual, is different. The Will of Fire is not something so easily explained, young one. I hope you discover it for yourself during your time at the academy.”
