Weekly Update + - 9/21/21

hello and happy last day of summer!

this was an interesting week! I got quite a bit of work done on finishing the scene I've been working on and coding it... only to come to the decision that I'm going to scrap a large portion of it. Or at least, move it a little later down the line.

The section that I've been working on has been the rest of the chapter 3 character customization stuff, specifically you would A) choose your bedroom style, then B) choose your personal fashion style. But during playtesting... this CC section has just been going on too long. It doesn't flow very well, and it simply takes us out of the story for too long, and I'm not happy with it. So the clothing/fashion choice is going to be moved to a later chapter, I think. It's a tough decision, but I think it will lead to a better story, and in the end that's the whole point of all of this 😉

That means this month's update is going to be smaller than I wanted it to be, since I spent a lot of time on content that ultimately got removed, but I would rather put out a small update that I'm happy with than a large one that I don't like.

Right now, I'm going to finish up coding and polishing what I have and get it ready for a beta release either today or tomorrow so that the public update can roll out next week!
