Weekly Update + - 6/8/21

Hello and happy Tuesday!

This was a great week for writing! The weather here seems to have figured out how to be not-raining for a little while, and while it's now ridiculously hot, it's at least steadily so. Which means my head is clear and the words are flying!

I also started a new project, of sorts. As some of you know, I always like to have a secondary project to work on as a way to prevent burnout and fight writer's block, and for a while that project had been Idle Hands! The problem is, I've gotten to the point in Idle Hands where I need to have the rest of Speaker finished before I can keep going, since some of its major plot points are directly related 😅 so I have to set it aside for now. My new project is not at all related to Speaker, so it shouldn't have that problem. It's almost to the point where it's ready to talk about (though I do have a tumblr page set up for it, and can share it if y'all are really interested).

But with the combination of cooperative weather and the excitement of a new project, I wrote more this week than I did for the entire month of May, and that's just counting the work I did on Speaker!

So as always, that's my plan for the week. As the bard said: words, words, words. I am really optimistic that I'll hit all my goals for Speaker this month!
