My future on Patreon

It took me some time to reflect and look around and I've come to a decision.

I will remain on Patreon.

I will continue producing Artistic Nudes in the form of Pin-ups that follow the content guidelines.
If a comic or story I produce is compatible with this platform, it will be here, but extra content may be not.
Also, hand drawn - traditional or digital - art will be appearing here. As long as the pieces of art are compatible with the guidelines.
If you remain my supporter on this platform, you are supporting this kind of art. Nothing more.

Release schedules are not defined. They will be random, you can be a free subscriber and only support every time I announce or release something new.
Patreon seems to be on the path of killing (or reducing the importance) of tiers, so I will only be publishing three tiers as a guideline. Pledge whatever you want, the rewards are equal in any tier.

At the moment I'm Overhauling the entire time-line, censoring and/or removing content that is not compatible with the new guidelines. I'm not straight up deleting the posts because there are comments and other information on those posts that may be of interest in the future. Also I'm opening every post to every paying patron to conform with what I wrote above. - Just to be clear - ALL THE POSTS AND CONTENT WERE COMPLIANT WITH THE PREVIOUS GUIDELINES.

Roadblock update and rant...

Hello there!

I  imagined this post in a lot of ways: a long rant; whining mess; educated interpretation of facts…

I’ll put this simple: I’m between a rock and a hard place. I need Patreon to survive, but I cannot continue posting or financing my current (nsfw) art here due to the new clauses on the policy rules - forward referred to as DA RULES.

DA RULES now define humans as “depictions of real humans as well as photorealistic representations of humans including those that were computer - or artificial intelligence - generated”. By this, DAZ 3D, Blender and other 3d rendering softwares capable of generating photorealistic humans are included. All rules referring to humans now apply to my work, therefore:

What can I continue posting by DA RULES:

• Pin ups showing nudity;
• Transformation sequences and stories with some nudity shown;
• Graphic stories (‘comics’) with plots not revolving on hanky panky;

What I cannot show and will have to remove:

• Pin-ups focusing on main and secondary sexual gonads areas;
• Adult toys in use or suggested in use;
• Aroused characters (includes wetness);
• Hanky panky straight or same gender.
• Adults remotely resembling underaged (disclaimers are seen as none abiders).

What I can add to my work:

• Non visual works (ie writing) is more lenient, but have some rules too;
• Hand drawn non realistic cartoons (as long as they do not hanky panky).

This is the situation. I haven’t explored other ways to monetize my works, yet. Patreon is not the only platform updating terms of service and I’ve been procrastinating on reading all the legalese being sent to my inbox since march 1st.

I thank you for your support, paid or otherwise, and I highly recommend all patrons to download all the content that  you have the right to because I will remove it by the end of the month to comply with DA RULES.

I haven’t decided, yet, what I am going to offer April onwards on Patreon, so all tiers will remain hidden while I come up with a new value proposal. If you want to jump out and stop supporting me here, no hard feelings, just gratefulness for your generosity.

If you have a suggestion on what kind of content you would like to see from me here that is DA RULES compliant, please leave a comment. All ideas are welcome.

Rant - skip if you have better things to do and thanks for reading until now.

Some curious things I found after reading Patreon’s many rules and news posts:

• Animated Furries are almost exempt from the 18+ human related art rules - second bullet point of permitted art under bestiality. 
• Patreon updates and changes their rules every 3 to 4 months! - check news.patreon.com blog posts and you can confirm. 
• As I suspected, Patreon uses automated tools to enforce rules, it also suggests fans and patrons to report violations from creators - transparency report 2023. 
• Adult artists were the second most reported non DA RULES compliant group, only behind teen safety - also transparency report 2023.
• Fan art is not banned from patreon, even though it is illegal to make money from other’s copyrighted intellectual property - just type fanart onto a find a creator search, lots of creators do it.

Some things I have to praise about Patreon, not to sound a moaning myrtle:

• Journalists are well protected under DA RULES - it is good to see that there are exceptions on many bullet points to allow journalists to do their jobs and be paid for it.
• It is very easy to get your money, especially if you are an US citizen - Paypal is not the only withdrawal method and much of the red tape and taxes are pre-filled by patreon.
• Every rule is easy to access - you can find every rule about everything easily and is not under a very hard legalese.

Even though my experience with Patreon has gotten worse over the years with the constant rule changing, interface re-designs, terms change and trying to turn it into a social network-esk site; I still think that this is a good idea. I just think they lost their focus and goal - a place where a creator can monetize his creations.

Tiers Removed - patreon terms update

Hi guys.

Yesterday and early today I was out rebuilding my bike because I have a serious health problem of overwightness and need it to get back in relative shape.  Doctor's orders.

Because of that I missed the e-mail detailing the "new and improved" Patreon community guidelines (now with examples! - being sarcastic). I really encourage you to read them especially this section.

Before you ask, no, I'm not sedated and haven't used my allergies medication yet. This is for real. Computer generated humans are now considered humans. AI, 3d, deepfake, whatever mean.

I have to take a good sleep to evaluate and figure out my options, but I intend on delivering my works for March to you all. If they delete me meanwhile, then I have the decision made for me.

Tiers are hidden so no more patrons are able to enter because I'm not sure about my future on Patreon as of now.

I will keep you posted about my decision, but I will accept any comment or idea.

Good News! Overhauls and other stuff

Hi there!
I finally am able to give some good news.

HEALTH:

I can, finally, hear in stereo again. After a month and two visits to the doctor I can finally hear again from my right ear. The constant headaches, mind excruciating unstoppable humming and mono sound are going away, hopefully for good. I'm still under some meds, but I can focus again.

WORK:

I got a new gig on my parallel freelance work. I will have to dedicate more time to it (It usually took me about two days a month before) because it requires me to get some Blender skills and I also need some Wordpress refresh. This is good news, but I will only be paid if this goes well, so I'm still reliant on this Patreon to pay the bills.
And speaking on Patreon: I didn't had to overhaul many posts. Seems like that I was guessing what was coming because many of my old posts were already censored by me. I was under some heavy stuff, so I might have over-reacted a bit, Sorry. Only 11 posts were altered, but all content still available on their respective Tiers.

PATREON GOOD CHANGES

To stop being afraid of IA Autobots (Decepticons?) there will be only advertising posts.
Low Tier - because I don't want you to be harmed by releasing the previews before the month's end, you will get access to a sample pin-up PDF file with each Rewards day post.  Now you have access to NSFW content, be aware.
Regular Tier - you get the same as above, as well as PDF and CBZ formats from the content from before. Now you can save every collection on a mobile device without cluttering it. I'm also testing webp-cbz formats.
High Tier - you get both previous tiers perks plus the Sequence Story, as usual. BUT instead of it being deleted after three months, a low resolution version will always be available on the original post, so you can always check out past stories. This new PDF is encrypted and has no extras. The full size and other perks will still be on the shared folder for their respective three months. All the other perks (new Graphic Stories releases, Videos, etc) remain the same.
Max Tier - you get ALL. As new perks I'm recovering many old stories from old cloud accounts I've forgotten about who had some old releases that were lost when my drive went kaput. Unfortunately I cannot afford another cloud service with lock and key to mirror my archive, and Google Drive is almost full as well so a partial mirror will be on my work drive next to the other tiers on MEO cloud. This requires a re-shuffle and will be up sometime tomorrow. Just use the guide to the other tiers, password will be sent to your personal messages box.

FEBRUARY

I need time to catch on, I was not able to because of being sick. As an example, I only finished the last picture from Pin-ups early today. Next week there may not be a regular sfw pin-up release, but I intend to release a full package on the 20th, Like the calendar above stipulates.
Last December I completely forgot to put up the Pin-up raster for February, so it will be a random number generator affair. I will be putting the March one on Sunday.

Some bitter news...

First I would like to Thank You for your generosity on supporting my work, I hope you enjoy it. As you know I always try my best to do enjoyable content directed to adults. But...

Now the hard part:

Patreon has changed their policy around sexual content sometime last year and that slipped me. A new line was added/altered to their "Pornography" section stating: "Patreon does not allow pornography,[...] masturbation and sexual intercourse. This policy applies to works featuring real humans as well as photorealistic representations of a human, regardless of how the works were created."

The added part is the "photorealistic" and "regardless of how the works were created."". Surely this was added to combat the ai generated content, the problem is that MY kind of art CAN and HAS BEEN seen as photorealistic enough. That is why I was already warned and partially expelled in the past.

This time I caught this change in time (I hope), I do read the guidelines from time to time so that I'm not targeted again, and those are what I refer as DA RULES on my past posts and from now on.

I'm not looking forward to it, but I have to take some actions:

- I will be overhauling ALL MY POSTS and removing ANY self pleasuring scene that may have been posted.

- Intercourse scenes on graphic novels / sequence strips will be removed from Patreon's timeline as well, despite the next sentence on DA RULES permitting it, those two rules conflict with each other and I don't want to test the waters on a bad mood/automated reviewer.

- Posting on Patreon's Timeline will be Highly Curated and mostly SFW. Content will still be available in full on the Shared folders, until DA RULES change again...

DISCLAIMER:

Just to be clear: I do not depict children, I do not depict pornography, I do not depict gore, I do not depict photographic content. Even on the shared folders. Those are under DA RULES as well. Everything linked to this Patreon follows them. I just fear an automated reviewer to wrongfully flag 3D content as real imagery!

Hi guys!

This one is an almost "photo finish" upload.

I've been struggling with the flu and, I suspect, COVID (too tired and breathless to do the test) since before the New Year. Finally had to go to a clinic to be diagnosed with throat and ear infections... 

So working stamina has been low as heck for the last few weeks and the cherry on top is the cold "polar front" keeping my office at a "cosy" 8ºC / 46ºF. And no, I have no heating/cooling on my office. Thank Providence I had Week #01 done before Christmas... 

Ranting over, I hope you enjoy this concept. I had another thing in mind, with portals, but had to improvise. I think the sphere turning into a jinxed hat to hide her identity is a cool idea, but I want to know what you think.

Lin and Troll are next. Let's hope Fortuna is on my side for the next weeks.
