Weekly Update + - 2/23/21

busy, busy week this week! I finished writing and coding the next update and it went out to patrons and betas on Sunday. then I started playing around with Twine and seeing how feasible it will be to move it over. Turns out, very much so!
so I'll be working on that (when I'm not writing) until I get caught up with where I am in the dashingdon demo, as well as getting a page set up for it on itch and all of that. I'm hoping to officially "premiere" it with the completion of chapter 2, but we'll see. I'm still trying to figure out what that will mean for things like monthly demo updates going forward, but I don't need to have it all figured out yet :)
the public update of the demo will be coming out on Sunday, February 28 and probably just after midnight CST.
I think that's all I've got this week! lots of things going on, but I'm excited about all of them!

for update+ this week, I have some very exciting screenshots for you ;)
the first one is how much of the story I've managed to move to Twine so far - I've made it up to the library scene on the Witch Route, and on the Detective Route we've just left Greta's coffee house - and the second is an example page (ignore the $sis code, I didn't go back and input a name for her lmao). I'm not sold on the color scheme, but I haven't decided how I want to go with it yet (suggestions welcome). I should have a beta version of it available Soon™ for Barghest backers!

WOW, thank you for this! that'll be a really big help 🥰 I've been looking at other twine IFs for inspiration, but I'm also trying to make sure I don't steal anyone's design lmao it's really interesting to me that you associate Speaker with red! I've always associated it with blue, probably because of the color scheme I made for the website. the colors in that screenshot are actually copied directly from my tumblr theme
