2024-01-30 13:40:42 +0000 UTCincidentally the metal head in the display case is a cyberman, another reoccurring classic series villain. And the statues you mentioned are called “weeping angels”. As backstory from the old series in 1963 (not spoilers unless you plan to go back and watch fifty years of programs…this was in the second ever story of the *original* series) , Daleks were bred as mutants from a humanoid race who were slowly dying out from the environmental results of fighting a millennia old war.
