Very important news for my Patreons

I'm sorry to hear this, and like others I found out about your work by purchasing Nymphomania Paradox on DLsite as well. It was the only other game that made me feel satisfied apart from another game Parasite in City that was created by someone who has since fallen off the radar. Please keep making these games they are a lot of fun and we see how much work you put into these and how engaging you are with your Patrons. Would like to see a sequel to Nymphomania Paradox, maybe something like "Travels to America" or something.

Like others have posted on here, the only reason I even know about you and your game is because of those sites. They had links to all your sites (DLsite, patreon, ci-en, twitter, etc) to give you support for what you do. While some people are never going to support you, others are going to find your work for the first time and want to help. I hope you won't focus on the negative and continue to put out good content, keep it up!

Here is my personal story, I found about your game Nymphomania Paradox through sites. The game was so good, that I bought it on DLsite to support you. Then I found you had a patreon, and I have been subscribed ever since cause to me, you are one of the best artists I know. So I understand there are gonna be leaks cause that's how it usually is here in the west, but I want you to understand that I would have never found out about your game or you if it weren't for those kinds of sites. Furthermore, hopefully, you will gain more patreons because of those sites giving you publicity. Thanks for reading and I do say this with my heart, you are an amazing artist and thank you so much for your hard work. It's impossible to avoid- but I totally agree with the change. You deserve to be supported- there is not a whole lot of kind developers like you that want to connect to overseas fans. I think you should definitely have more patrons than you currently have- and I think you would if you could get the word out to hgame enthusiasts with large followings that would help you advertise. I've been following your Ci-en for a while and I did not even know you had a patreon until recently. .. Well- please do not be discouraged. Theres still people who will support out there that believe they don't have a way to- and that is a lot of where the piracy comes from. Many japanese developers have games that are almost entirely impossible to support for overseas fans(Ci-en and dlsite do not accept my card- I can only use DMM due to paypal..)- and for you to make things so readily available.. It's a really nice gesture that you're reaching out. Just please stick to it and don't let the few bad apples spoil the bunch.

i don't see why patreons may be upset about the link in IM. plus, paterons recive the lastest version before all the other, trust me that people will pay also only for play your game one day more early ahah!

Although I purchased other games made by you released on steam and DLsite I didn't even know you were on patreon then. Those leaks are how I even found you. F95zone puts up a support the dev link for all games there and I did that because I think its something worth supporting. If it's a completed game I make sure to buy it, if I feel its not trash level because there are ero games out there that aren't clear about the content and rip you off (I've had it happen to me multiple times on DLsite) and I don't want to waste my money on them.

You could probably add a signature to each distribution if you really wanted to see where they're leaking from, but as someone who's downloaded leaked games in the past, the "pirates" who like it are probably gonna pledge anyway - official sources are always less stressful and up-to-date, even if they're less concerned about wanting to support the creator. Basically.. the leaks probably HELP you by bringing in people who would've never known you existed otherwise. Games like yours are a little obscure... You're right that you're not an AAA dev, you don't have media advertisement and don't get by on single copies sold - I know you probably only see lost sales, but what you need to be looking at is gained players.

first off its your content and your buisness how to handle it. on my end i dont have enough money to support everything i like and am forced to get sometimes content via that way. it will be always a problem for people like me and there are people which only "lurk" , but still got the money for it. you cant really avoid it. if you do it that way it will only delay the process. either way keep up the great work and dont lose your motivation for making games, the money will come and go by itself.

I don't want to sound mean, but honestly your game will always get leaked somewhere, like 99.9 % of all the other games. I think you should "try" to accept it (I know it's really hard) and make a demo or promote it with the "If you liked it consider supporting me". I am a patreon that comes from one of the forums where your game got leaked, I tried it free and thought "Damn it's good, I love it, I need to support this guy", so that's why I'm here. I know that I'm only a 1$ patreon but I'm thinking on moving up soon if the game continues to go in a direction that I'm enjoying. You are making a very interesting game, that can attract a lot of people if you keep doing what you're doing, it would be unwise, in my humble opinion, to cut off english language and close yourself to such an audience.

I think that you should put links to your patreon in the demo or advertising your patreon in the demos. I do hope everything works out for you and that this don't make you need to stop making games in English

That's really annoying. No one wants their work stolen, and I've seen plenty of other artist express their distaste for this exact situation. People should be paying for the time you put into this game.

I'm no developer but I think it would be best to 'own' the situation by putting advertisement in the demo for your patreon and asking people to support you if they like what they stole. I've seen a thread of this game on F95 and I'm pretty sure thats where most people go to download it. Gunsmoke Games has a similar problem and they released a statement explaining that they can't really stop the stealing so they use it as advertisement.

It's a very good idea and I support it. I feel cheated as well knowing the content I paid for (that should only be viewed by us) is being stolen and spread around for free... It's really sad TechnoBrake works so hard only to have ungrateful people steal from him.
