Hi everyone,
It took me a little longer to wrap up Part 2 of The Town Without Television than I expected. Part of the reason is that it is the longest comic that I have yet published, with 144 pages in total.
I spent the last few weeks making lots of little artwork tweaks here and there. This was combined with the disruption of the current Australian Capital Territory Covid-19 lockdown that began two weeks ago, which I can't see lifting any time soon. I have relocated from my Gorman Arts Centre studio to a work-from-home scenario. At least I am fortunate enough to be able to relocate in this way.
Anyway, the good news is that the artwork for The Town Without Television Part 2 is now complete, and I'll be publishing the comic next week!
Just thought I'd share some artwork from the comic, as a sneak preview. This is from part of the study that investigated whether children's gender-role attitudes changed, following the introduction of TV:

As you can see with the orange lines on the graph, two years of watching 20+ hours of television per week made the children hold views that were more stereotyped than their pre-TV views.
This is just one little four-page segment of the full 144-page comic. You will be able to read the whole thing next week.
As ever, thanks so much for helping to fund this project! I'll message you when the comic is published next week.
Cheers,
