In São Paulo, Brazil, (my hometown) we got rid of billboards more than ten years ago (there's a law called "Cidade Limpa", i.e. clean city, against billboards, you can read about it on Wikipedia: <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cidade_Limpa)." rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cidade_Limpa).</a> The city is way better now, I couldn't imagine how it would be before they took them down. Nowadays whenever I travel abroad I'm shocked by the sheer amount of public advertising in the cities.
