Little Witch #5: Gym Shorts

Pigtail Girl doesn't have a name. And other than "Julia", the faceless crowd members are unnamed. Tish and Jenny are deaged characters from other stories. And Mr. Rockford will be seen in next week's Statue Rentals story where he is only known as Reggie. Reggie Rockford? It could be his name. I can't confirm or deny they are the same.
Panel 1 – outside some lockers
Angela: Oh, no. I don’t have my gym shorts.
Jenny: Why not?
Angela: Mommy was supposed to wash them but she played doll with me until morning.
Jenny: Hey, you can turn me into your gym shorts.
Angela: You’ll miss gym, Jenny.
Eavesdropper (out of line with other dialog): Wish I could play doll with my mother.
Panel 2 – Dramatic feinting imminent
Jenny: Oh, no. Miss gym? Why didn’t I realize that would happen before you turned me into gym shorts?
Latisha: If she’s gym shorts being worn by someone in gym class, she’d be in gym class.
Jenny: Tell her, Tish.
Angela: Don’t blame me if Mr. Rockford doesn’t see it that way.
Panel 3 – serious face on Friend 2
Jenny: Mr. Rockford probably doesn’t care if I am there. I’m not one of the chosen sports heroes.
Latisha: Besides he’s afraid of you.
Angela: He is?
Latisha: He’s worried you’ll turn him into something.
Panel 4 – Insert
Jenny: Something like... GYM SHORTS!!!
Panel 5 – At the start of gym class
Mr. Rockford (holding a clipboard): Jenny? Has anyone seen Jenny?
Angela: She’s right here.
Mr. Rockford: Where?
Angela: She’s my gym shorts. She’ll be in class the whole time I am.
Mr. Rockford: Oh, oh, uh, okay. I’ll mark Jenny present. Julia?
Julia (off panel): Here!
