Talk - Ted's Dolls Season 4 Kick Off

This Saturday sees the release of a Ted's Dolls Universe (TDU?) story that is not part of season 3 or 4. It's (currently) a standalone story called Cat's Dolls: A Ted's Dolls Bonus Story. For a brief moment this was going to be one of the season 4 interludes. But, I realized Cat's Dolls could end up being a series of stories, a spin-off I suppose. So, it's just a bonus story for now. In my mind, though not necessarily in the text, I considered Cat two years younger than Ted. But she would be at most 17 years old if that were true. So, she's now only a year younger, her birthday being in October 2005. (Ted's birth being in December 2004. Although, this makes one wonder why it wasn't mentioned in the Winter break stories, I suppose. And why Paris spent his birthday in assorted 12 days of Christmas boxes. Oh, well.)

The first seven of thirteen season 4 episodes are in the can. I will go in and tweak the text, I'm sure, before their release. But, nothing should be added to them now unless something amazing pops into my head while finishing the other six episodes. The two interludes, however, are still not started. I know what they will be about. Just haven't even outlined their plots yet. (And even then, the final one could be "just fun" or could be "really dark". I can't decide. Probably why I haven't started that story.)

There are a few new characters added to the TDU who will be around for a while. And others who will fade into the background. Depending on how you break them down, there are several important outstanding plots in the TDU:

• How will Emily escape or be rescued? What will happen with Richard and Jemma?

• How will Jane escape or be rescued?

• What will happen with Carson's harem?

• Where is Randall Chaplain, Paris' brother?

I'm curious if anyone has other plots they think is important that I didn't list here.

At least one of these is definitely resolved in season 4. The others will linger into season 5. And thus, I can say I expect there to be a season 5 some time next year. Given the past work, it won't be for another year. I've fallen into a pattern of mid-fall releases for the season. Kinda' like US television seasons. :)
