Not really will work. Yes, you will be able to edit player attributes permanently, but this type of career is different, for example you won't have the skill tree (and all new features added this year to player career)
2021-11-05 21:16:06 +0000 UTCI did notice actually, if you create a player in player career mode and try to edit via the table, other players and the team stuff edits but your created player resets. I'm guessing creating a player outside player career then importing them to a team and using them, the game plays differently and will work?!
