Supporter update (11/8)

So I have a few options with what’s coming next. I wanted to put together a modded Oblivion video before the next Skyrim video, but with my time getting eaten up by the Skyrim video, I’d have maybe 2 weeks to put something together and that’s not enough time to make something worth watching. People keep asking about it, and it’s still active, it just keeps getting bumped by Skyrim, unfortunately.   

I’ve also been in talks with PatricianTV on a potential World of Warcraft video he might be doing after his Skyrim video. If he goes through with that, I’m going to be playing a lot of Classic WoW (a game I have a… history… with) this winter. No idea if that would result in a video for my channel, but I’d certainly be recording it. So if I did find something worth doing with the footage, I’d have it on hand. This is all contingent upon if Pat’s going to do that project, if we can get the right people for it, and if I can find the time to play WoW enough to commit to his project.   

Mount and Blade: Bannerlord is a video I’ve been aching to do since the beginning of this year and I’m likely to just start recording and find  time to turn it into something. It wouldn’t be a big deconstructed video, just a 30-60 minute review, but that’s something that’s likely to follow Skyrim vid #2.   

I’m probably going to start writing my “how 2 youtube” video soon which is something I really want to drop by the end of the year. It’d probably be rather lengthy, focusing on people who are interested in making long form game analysis videos, or just people curious about knowing how the sausage is made. This is another project I’ve been planning for well over a year now, I just need to sit down and start working on it.   

The reason being: I want to start my own podcast on this channel. The format I want to go for is something more one-on-one with other YT creators: how/why they got into YT, challenges they faced, videos they worked on—that sort of stuff. As far as I’m aware, nothing like that exists in the game analysis sphere, and I know I would be interested in watching something like that, so likely other people are, too. I got a  few creators who'd likely agree to sitting down for something like this, and this would probably be a once-a-month release, so it’s safe to say I’d have plenty of programming for the first year.This would pair well with a how 2 youtube video serving as an opening act.  

I’m doing a lot of thinking for what comes after Skyrim video #2. It’s almost certainty NOT Skyrim video #3 because I need a new project to refresh myself with before tackling that. Like I said, Bannerlord is a big candidate, it just has a lot of what I want for a fun refresh project. We also have Starfield sometime next year that I’ll have to  plan around because a major Starfield video is a must for this channel. I also have a lofty dream of working on a retrospective video on Rooster Teeth and/or G4TV (now that it died again). No idea when those will materialize, though.   

And finally, Fallout 76. I’m waiting to see what happens with Pat’s WoW project because I’m not playing 2 online games simultaneously, but Fo76 is a very high priority. By early next year I expect to start developing that which is planned as the series to follow Skyrim once it’s wrapped.    

Lot’s of plans which tends to happen when I’m stuck writing a long script. So I’ll cut this here.
