People love to say that if Hotch had been around at this time none of what followed this would've happened, which really undermines all Emily did for Spencer. She literally deleted evidence for him. Hotch would've done everything he could, but I highly doubt he would've deleted evidence like that. Maybe he would've considered it, but I don't think he'd go through with it. (Tbh I'm not sure it would've actually really crossed his mind.) But yeah, Emily proved in that moment just how far she's willing to go for those she loves.
