I think this might be the first time I can think of where Alexis has done something that could be considered to be ever so slightly spoilt. And I mean infinitesimally so. Even if they couched her choice with exceptionally good motives. This slightly shields the affect that she knew she was free to rely on being able to steal and lie to get out of the situation she was now in. This was a nice growth moment for a character, who has been seemingly flawless for someone of her age in a television drama. She has been often presented as a more equal balanced mature and childish, than is typically portrayed in a parent and child relationship. Nice to see that they are rounding her out as she leaves the comfort of the protective nest. Perhaps the dye should have left her red faced, but then they couldn't have had the smurf gag I guess. π
