Honestly. I really don't understand all the hate towards Hannah. I never minded her myself. I didn't see this much outrage from the fanbase in regards to Sully. He was a major love interest who had a real connection with Brennan, but there was never an outcry from the fans about him "stealing Brennan away from Booth", the way some fans ripped into Hannah for "stealing Booth away from Brennan". And in both cases there was visible jealousy from the one who was left out in the cold because of obvious feelings. Besides, Booth made his intentions known to Brennan in season 5. He made a direct move on her, and basically told her he wanted to be with her outright, but she refused. And after she refused, Booth then told her he needed to move on and find someone else, and he did. He moved on. He and Hannah had a real connection for a while, but in the end it didn't work out, same as it didn't for Brennan and Sully.

2024-12-05 04:21:27 +0000 UTCCompletely agree about it feeling like we missed a lot of the startup of their relationship. It annoyed me at first, but I was able to move past it. I wanted them to be together for a long time, so the fact that they would be permanently linked, made me happy enough to forgive them. I think that’s also why I hate Hannah even more lol, the writers could have taken out her storyline to actually build up their startup instead.

2024-12-05 02:31:08 +0000 UTCI totally get where you're coming from about it being underwhelming, and I'm pretty sure they originally had a different plan, but because Emily got pregnant they had no choice but to do the time jump because obviously in the post-production time of season 6 and the pre-production time of season 7, she got a lot more pregnant than she was in the finale and while there are ways to hide a bump, it's difficult and in this situation a bit unnecessary when the character is pregnant. I would've liked if when they did the time jump, they still had Bones and Booth not be fully together and maybe progressing into it during the first half of the season.
