Added 2025-07-13 18:00:09 +0000 UTCLook, you just can't have 45 devil-cultist stat blocks without some of them being themed around torment; what distinguishes these guys from the whip-and-chain crowd on the demonic side of the aisle is they're not particularly into it; suffering is all about dour self-improvement and grindset for these folks.
On the subclass side of things, warlocks of Belial/Fierna get to make any spell damage nonlethal and are just generally really good at bullying a single enemy; so long as they're dealing psychic damage they can just keep giving attacks against them disadvantage, wracking their foes with weird and unaccountable spasms of pain any time they try it (joke about aging).
