2024-08-29 11:32:25 +0000 UTCI think the reason why Shanks didn't go see Luffy was because he had asked him to return the hat when Luffy became a greater pirate than him. Right now Luffy had officially became an Emperor of the Sea, which is the same level as Shanks but not greater. That's also probably part of why he set out for the One Piece: not only to try and accomplish what his old Captain had, but also to challenge Luffy, "You want to be a greater pirate group than us? Then get there before we do!"
