I saw you do Boruto and HxH together because boruto isn’t that really serious right now the only part that gets like really really good is the remake of the movie and maybe a little bit towards the end the beginning is too slow but you get to see a lot of new things which is cool. Plus watching boruto would be like watching Naruto Shōnen jump so you really don’t have to get used to new characters maybe the kids you would but a majority of the people you should know. On the other hand I think HXH is a good idea with boruto because it is also slow when it comes out but picks up after the exams. I just think people are restless and are dying to see you watch another anime. Personally I would say finish deathnote because it’s been a grip but HXH is essential 😂 and we need a reaction.

Even when they were marketing it for people to catch up recently. They didn’t advise people to watch all the episodes . So if the guys selling the product are not even advising consumers to watch the whole show. People who say the whole show is canon are just playing themselves. Plus Sarada hasn’t done much since her arc. Is chidori development??? I don’t consider that development. In the manga she and Mitsuki aren’t really that interesting. Some throw away lines about jealousy but until that is explored. And the truth is post ep 70, there’s no meaningful character development. One can skip a lot of the episodes after 70 and they wouldn’t be lost at all. A lot of the stuff past ep 70 is devoid of passion, tact and it really just annoys me. Recently I found out in the manga that Sumire cause of her background loves everything and doesn’t waste resources at all. Yet they’ve had 150 eps and that trait never came up once!!!! They could’ve used that in the field trip arc to comment on that trait and do something. But a lot of characters traits haven’t been expanded upon majorly from their inception which is not good writing. A lot of the so called development is only relevant in that arc is later not mentioned or built upon.

Watching only the manga episodes is dumb asf. The majority of Boruto is anime canon. Meaning you need to watch it. Which is what i imagine he will be doing cause if not theres no point. The manga basically has zero character development beyond Boruto and Sarada

Even though "Boruto" itself is not such a great anime as of right now (it will be when Boruto will be 15-16 years old), I think you will appreciate the way the next generation came out with traits from Naruto generation. It's just wholesome to see their kids have their own adventures as you do not get to see the growth of characters in anime all the time.
