Comic break, game dev fun

I did waaaay to much drawing last month, my back was in pain. So now I'm having a break for a week with a silly game project. So expect some hiking simulation in a few days UwU I just want to do a sweet and chill snowy adventure.

I did a lot to improve the AI of the NPCs, rewriting entirely the detection system, adding visual and auditive feedback (like a looot of voices). So I'm very proud!

Devlog, welcome the fortune-teller

Another character is doing a comeback!

A new dog joins the game's crew to show the future to the player. Though the future is damn expensive.

I'll probably post my new build in the next 24 hours. I'd love to finish the Building menu but I'm getting really tired and I'm this close to really hate all UI related work X'D Too many interfaces and buttons for a month!

Devlog, more UIs

Please enjoy these fun mockups I did in Photoshop! Most of them are now in the game.

Well it's terribly long and tedious but I'm super happy with the interfaces! They're easier to produce and read. It was a bit tricky to implement a few of them but so far they work like a charm!

Hopefully I'll finish all the menus and their characters to post a build next Tuesday. I wanted to wait a bit more so I can add a door and stairs but... that's definitely not that important!

Ongoing UIs

I've been working real hard to make the cleanest, the sharpest, the nicest UI design I can do. And I'm reaaaaally happy with it! So this time it's a real screen-capture of the working interface XD Not a mock-up anymore!

Devlog, ongoing UI

UI/UX are not my fav part of game dev until I find a nice direction.

I tried many ideas: toon and comic like buttons, hand-painted like Hearthstone, etc. But in the end I went with a mobile-like style, with flat buttons and bright colours.
I'm trying my best to remove all the text I can from the UI. I'm replacing most of the menus navigation with a dialogue system where these menus will be introduced to the player by their own characters. View Post

I tried to balance the game a little more, but so far I've been working hard adding stuff! 

New features:

  • first person mode
  • rain and police patrols to divination
  • broken and dirtiness maluses in reviews
  • rain malus in reviews.

Devlog, the Bank!

Very exciting news for me.

New features

I just added a Bank to the game, it's gonna be handy to keep an eye on many statistics, money related obviously. The player will be able to see the progression, the performances of their club.

I also added an option to apply for Loans. It's gonna be limited but it's like a legal way to cheat in the game. At least if you can pay back the Bank!

Daily struggles

I'm now working on the calendar, which will add new gameplay mechanics. Right now I'm adding the daily trends and frequentation! Basically some days will be crowded, others less, some day people will adore your cute cottage mood, the next day they'll hate it!

Why? So players will need to be prepared for all situations and diversify their club.

I'm a little late with the next build.
