Added 2024-02-19 10:00:05 +0000 UTCAs the last pre-war armoured flight deck carrier design, the Indefatigable and her sister ship Implacable had a troubled career, poor choices regarding hangar height and wartime construction delays meant the two ships only saw brief WW2 service before being rendered obsolete by advances in size and capability of carrier aircraft, with planned refits to address this being scrapped when HMS Victorious ate the budget.
