Alternate History, What if some merchant ship informed the French fleet that Nelson was coming the day before the Battle of the Nile. Nelson would be fighting a prepared fleet at sea. Start the battle with the British parallel to the French Fleet but with the lead ship opposite of the Le Orient. Who wins when the British DON'T have every possible advantage?

Thanks Drach! Potential Dry Dock Q: A common trope in fiction and sci fi (see every other Star Trek movie) is the ship that is on its shakedown cruise when trouble breaks out, and the story of it being forced into combat while understaffed, underarmed, and just not ready for prime time. Are you aware of any real life accounts of a ship on its shakedown cruise or a show the flag cruise being pulled into the outbreak of hostilities without time to return to Port and fully gear up? And did that ship also save the galaxy?

Thanks and keep up the good work Drach! I have a suggestion for a playlist. “Last stands” would make a great playlist and I’m sure there are many “last stands” over the time period you cover that deserve to be remembered. *also a shout out for the “Vestal”. And “Edsal”.

IRRITABLE BOWEL from BF 1942

Thank you Drach! Hope to see you in WoWs:Blitz soon! I’ll take it easy on you I promise 😀
