I can tell you which 2 are worse, sir. Options 2 & 3 do sound a bit 'uncanny valley as someone else suggested. Option 1 by default.

unpopular opinion, I guess, but I personally like older voice with echo. I get what you're trying to do with it, I think, and I think that others might think it would be the whole video, when I believe you only want to use it to represent an individual dialogue.

I agree, your normal voice is much easier to understand. The voice changing software altered some of the enunciations which made it difficult to understand, and if I hadn't heard you read it in your normal voice first, I would have had problems understanding the altered voicing. I would say, that adding a slight echo to your own voice would go a long way towards indicating that this is a different recitation from your normal ones. Hope this helps.

As someone whose hearing is not as good as it once was, your normal voice is by far the most understandable, especially when they start using slightly archaic phrasings or terminology. I appreciate the effort, but legibility before style points and all that, please?

A change in voice is useful so I went with Older voice. No option for "I just adjusted my voice a bit" similar to Dan Carlin. But that may be straining on your voice. You have a great voice and many times I'm just listening to your youtube channel like a podcast.

In principle, I agree with the desire to have the ancient text voice read using a separate voice. But, alas, the modified voices make some words difficult to understand. My vote is for your real, formal voice. Besides, it's a nice voice.

I would prefer your normal voice, but with a bit of an echo added. This is something like what is done on the Skeptoid podcast when reading a quote. It uses the speaker's normal voice, but the echo makes it notably distinct in a way which is easy to recognize as 'different'. You have an excellent reading voice, rythm, and intonation. I enjoy listening to you speak. Don't mess with one of the things which sets you apart from the rest of the crowd.

The second would have been good to listen to and know you were speaking fron past text. But the enunciation of some of the words was wrong and without knowing what the word was, would have been a struggle. However a good idea and a possible route to further investigate if the tested software didn't change enunciation.
