Just wanted to let you know about this: Rosmarie von Trapp, 93, was born 8 Feb 1929 and died yesterday 20 May 2022. She was the oldest daughter of Corvette Captain (Lieutenant Commander) Georg von Trapp, Astro-Hungarian Imperial Navy, and second wife Maria Augusta Kutschera, with whom he had 3 children, as well as seven children from his first marriage to Agathe Whitehead.

Drach - if you ever get to Eastern Washington State and have a recreational day to spare, we have (literally) a world class 1,000 yard shooting range (it’s a 900 acre {364 hectare} complex with multiple ranges based on shooting discipline) with professional range safety officers along with safety briefings for new shooters. Several of us could arrange a very special day at the range for you and Madame, gratis. We have access to a PLETHORA of different weapons systems, including historical British firearms (ie. Martini Henry, Lee Enfield .303, Webley .455, etc.). Everything from flintlock rifles and pistols to suppressed AR’s and semi-auto handguns. Before you get the wrong idea about me, I worked at our local Gunshop and am still quite chummy with them and have a degree of access to some of the wonderful things they have registered in the stores name.

Regarding records , it often depends of when the service took place. There was a significant fire at the records retention facility in St Louis. What used to be known as BuPers reportedly refers members to the pay services and they aren’t cheap. Organizations such as American Legion , VFW and AUSN have gold contacts available. A number of my former ship mates simply found someone by logging into the Navy Memorial in DC , apparently many people signed up for the service. I actually met Cliff Robertson there while looking to see if my profile had been uploaded , while on my last Pentagon tour.

If they still have any left you should buy some of the original decking of the North Carolina that they were selling in the gift shop last time I was there.

Considering all that you provide for us , and, in anticipation of what shall result from the US trip, I think it is realistic for us not to anticipat the same heavy flow of content while you are traveling. Penetrations for plumbing and wiring are designed into bulkheads with specialist seals an reinforcement around them to ensure both structural and blast integrity. They are designed in at the drawing stage. These penetrations in high risk areas are very complex and reflect the purpose of the bulkhead.
