Hello Pretty Gay Subs, I take this moment to express gratitude for all of you. This will not be eloquent. I do not have the words to type with grace; with the recent election results, I imagine there is intense grief coursing through our bodies. If you are here know you are loved. If you are queer, if you are trans, if you are a woman, if you are a sexual assault survivor, if you are a BIPOC, if you are an immigrant, if you live paycheck to paycheck, if you've had an abortion, if you have a pre-existing condition this is a safe place to be in community and to connect. If you want to send me a message or post on the community board please do. We have past guests of this show who are vocal and have shared resources online (Ellory Smith and Pallavi Gunalan). We need everyone to be as involved as they can be in this fight, and we need to protect our most vulnerable. For starters, if you are in Los Angeles Ellory Smith runs a soup kitchen on Tuesdays. Planned Parenthood is an excellent resource if you are passionate about access to free and safe abortions. The Human Rights Campaign offers ways to get involved in securing LGBTQ+ equality. These are just a few of many organizations that will be fighting tirelessly on behalf of our most marginalized communities.
