I think the conversion rate MIGHT be slightly higher at the time and 100,000 for students that’s probably alotta money xD but yeah only spending 10000 a month is crazy…she must have been thrifty af hahaha

2024-05-24 06:36:55 +0000 UTCI have always been a little confused as to why they treat 100,000yen as a ton of money... This takes place in Tokyo in like 2014. I understand the cost of living is a bit less in Tokyo compared to where I live, but when you convert to USD that is like $700... That amount just doesn't seem like it is worth making that big of a fuss about to me but maybe I'm a little mistaken about the context idk And then at the end of the month, Horikita has only spent like 10,000 points. That is absurdly low. That is worth like $70... how the hell did she buy all of her food and necessities for a MONTH on $70?? This truly is a fantasy world, if only stuff could be that cheap IRL haha
