The Legacy

Hello Drach, it would be interesting, I think, if you did a video outlining the the development and implementation of the Japanese Type 93 Long Lance torpedo. Particularly relative to other countries best torpedos used during the war. Were type 93’s only used by surface vessels like destroyers and cruisers? Were submarine and air launched torpedos of the IJN just derivatives of the Type 93 oxygen drive?

Drach, I would like to congratulate you are hitting the 200k Youtube subscriber mark! You have more than earned it. Thank you for what you do and providing such valuable and educational programing. Thanks. Sincerely, Jason

A what if question for you sir. The 20mm M61 Vulcan aircraft gun started development in 1946 but the patent for an electric powered gattling gun is from 1893, what if this had been looked at in the 1930's such a gun would be far to heavy for aircraft use but could have been ship mounted as an AA system, how would 1940 aircraft have coped with several 1000' rpm AA guns would it have been enough to keep CV's as a support ship rather than the main strike force?

Frakagain

Would prefer the A3 size to the A4. I don't mind paying shipping to Canada for it if they're good quality stuff

Hypnoticflame

Thank you for the answer to my question about coke and the High Seas Fleet.

Q&A: Patrol Craft versus Patrol Boat, is there a difference? The USN seems to have used both designations but I can't find a difference or why one was used versus the other.

Jelly Jellybean

I'd ask Jingles about apportioning codes. He's got a lot of experience.
