Just a quick update on progress.

Chapter Three is with the primary testers and whilst they're busy with that, I'm cracking on with updating Chapter Four with the new GUI etc. Thankfully, this one should be straightforward. But it's looking like Three this month then Four next with Five, with a fair wind, the month after.

Some minor changes I'm thinking about in respect of the interface going forward though is to drop the achievements tab on the character pages and just leave the achievements to the main achievements page. A couple of reasons. Principally, as it largely duplicates itself and, although I like the idea of you just being able to pull up achievements per character as opposed to seeing an overview of all of them throughout the chapter, I'm not sure whether the benefit you gain from this is worth the effort involved in making it. Secondly, I'm also slightly concerned that in terms of clarity I'm making things more difficult for the player by having slightly different information in two separate places. The GUI should make the game easier, not involve more player work.

I haven't made a decision yet.

The other change I'm considering is dropping the music player function on the PDA. Try as I might, I can't get it to play the music constantly and it just cuts off once you close the PDA (the idea being you'd have your own pick of background music unless the game needed specific music for a scene). It shouldn't, and the code seems fine, but regardless of what it should or shouldn't be doing it still decides to cut out. So, as of now, all it's doing is added bloat to the file size. I'll give it another bash during my work on Four but if it still refuses to do what I want then I'll probably end up removing it.

As to the title of the post, you may recall I mentioned  German TV channels years ago in my last post and it dawned on me this morning that one of the ones I used to watch was ProSieben.

Yep....Channel Seven.
