Hey everyone!

Hope you are all doing well!

This project recently came out publicly and I can finally talk about it. It was for Sol de Janeiro and some massive screens in London. I was in charge of the 3D of the products, the animation and some After Effects work as well.

It's been a minute since I've done product renders, so I think this is a good opportunity to showcase/breakdown how I approached the renders for these 3 products.

We'll look at materials and lighting, ...

Random Marshall Exploration

Hey!

I know it's been quiet over here., and I'm sorry about that!

I spent a month traveling and going back home to be with family which I hadn't seen in 7 years. Much needed break!

These are some images I worked on for a project that never saw the light of day and wanted to share.

These are made in Octane.

If you guys are interested, I may do a breakdown, however, my Octane license expired so I'll have to see if I can use a trial version or just show the ...

Finally figured this one out!

I know it's been a while since I did the threading tutorial but finally had some time to sit down and finish this up with some nice fabric flow and the addition of the vertical threads which I think add a lot to the effect.

I did have to slow the effect down a little bit so the viewer can digest what's happening.

Which one did you like better?

Of course full breakdown or part 02 is coming soon!

Legion XIII

Latest video I worked on for the LIV Golf League for the reveal of their Legion XIII team.

This was a SUPER fast turnaround project but it was fun (at times) working on it.

Let me know in the comments if you guys would like to see an overall project breakdown to explain how it went.

Or, if there's specific shots you'd like me to go more in depth. Depending on the interest I might do that as well.

Cheers!

32 Embroidery on custom shapes

Let's take a look at how to create threads for embroidery on custom shapes and animate the threads.

I'll go over the theory and the technique behind generating the proper geometry for the threads, animate them and light and shade the scene. We'll also use Hair for a more organic look.

Teaser January 2024

Happy new year everyone!

I've been experimenting with knitting in Cinema 4D and I know there's millions of tutorials out there about this but I think where mine sets apart is in creating threads for custom shapes like this.

After all, it's not the same to create a knitting animation with a procedural/simple shape like a plane versus something custom like a client logo, which is very specific.

Bare with me as I just had my second child and between that, work and sleepless nig...

How can I help?

Hey everyone!

Just had a baby last week so I'm taking some time to enjoy being with him and adjusting to having a newborn at home but I wanted to check in with everyone here and ask, how can I help?

Is there any questions about any back-office stuff or maybe a certain technique in C4D?

Maybe it is an advice I can give you on a specific situation you are going through?

Let me know!

Hey everyone!

I've been hard at work experimenting with part 02 of the Hair series but to be completely honest I need more time especially because I want to figure out controlling the hair animation and share my findings with you.

29 Hair Beauty Shots - Part 01

Hello!
Here's the new video for this month. We will be talking about this shot made in Cinema 4D with the Hair Module and Redshift of course.

I'm calling this part 01 because my plan is to make other shots and even animation with Hair and break those down so stay tuned for upcoming videos.

However, this video is ALL about the shot you see below, from start to finish.

Thank you to all of you for your continued support!

Hair explorations

Hey everyone!

Just a quick post to let you know this month's video will most likely be about hair beauty shots. Kind of like the ones you see on shampoo ads.

I wanted to share a tease of how the images are looking. I REALLY want to animate these but it's taking super long to figure out and to render so I might have to split it and do it next month.

But that's TBD!

Hair in C4D and Redshift

Hey everyone!

Hope you are all having a nice start of the weekend. This month's video will be about hair in Cinema 4D and Redshift!

Redshift has been a lot more stable lately and I had to work on a commercial project that involved hair so I figure out a bunch of stuff about working with hair in C4D. I think there's going to be a lot of nice tips and tricks in this one.

Stay tuned!
