Deep In The Red (Lore Poster #1)

Vanessa starred in a few B movies before being blacklisted from the real world entertainment industry. "Oopsie Daisy" had her labeled a 'pinko-commie-toon' by the American government. She retired from reality shortly after and began pursuing more... pleasurable avenues of self expression in the "Toon-iverse". Inhabited by comic book heroes and villains, Sunday morning rejects, oddball one offs, the Toon-iverse served as a parallel reality to our own. Any and every character conceived and made real has a place they can call home in the Toon-iverse. Vanessa gained her popularity as a comic book pulp starlet. Stories about adventures in far distant galaxies fighting tyrannical rulers, young barbarians surviving in wild lands, a damsel in distress hiring a P.I. to solve a cold case; these were her roots in the Toon-iverse.

Ok, my thoughts are all over the place but it got me thinking of a silly backstory. What if at some point the notorious G-Men of Hoover's era had a top brass conference and were going over a list, and the question popped up as to whether Frankie was a spy? One of my favorite scenes in all of Indian Jones franchise is when Indy has to sell the Nazis this idea that Marcus Brody is a super-genius at subterfuge and spycraft, and they'll never catch him, then it cuts to a bumbling Marcus lost in the middle-east. I envision something like that about Frankie. The paranoid bureau suits are hand-wringing over Frankie's mysterious background, trying to connect him to the Kremlin or CCP or Cuba, whatever. Maybe a fed overheard Frankie say "bombshells" and talking about schematics. But then you can cut to Frankie prattling on about bombshell show-girls, their outfits, and his club designs. "I've got a bombshell that will knock them all dead!" Frankie boasts. lol

Hammertyme

can’t wait for more lore from the toon-iverse!!
