Specular highlights are based on the light color. The shadow colors are based on ambient environmental bounce light. You mentioned blue but that's outside with no cloud cover. The shadows actually are a shade of muted grey/purple already. The only spots of pure white are on her eyes, jewelry and lips which are either wet or actually plastic. But thanks for the tips anyway. EDIT: I think read what you wrote incorrectly. I think you're right about a more saturated shadow and warmer light.

I like it, though I am bias to you’re work. If I could offer a perspective to help, maybe not so much of the white highlight? The plastic look can sometimes come from too much white reflection in the skin. I might say go for more warm light and cool shadows. Shadows closer to blue or violet and lights more to pink or bright peach. If that makes sense I hope it helps. Either way I love what you have. Best wishes!
