Hello Supporters!
I have an early access video for you today in which I'm explaining the Map Transfer tool. This is a mystical little script that lets us convert texture sets from one UV set to another, as long as both UV sets are on the same figure. I'm bringing this up because it may come in handy for converting older character textures so they can be used with the new Genesis 9 figure, for which I'm showing a concrete example with Rune 7. She was based on Genesis 3, but her UV set does not match the base Genesis 3 UV set so the tool can be used to re-bake the textures and make them fit.
Map Transfer can be used for other things as well, like turning multiple UDIM tiles into a single large tile or vice versa. It's often brought up in conjunction with Texture Atlas, another mystical tool in Daz Studio that lets us create new UV layouts. I've recently talked about this in a Daz+ stream about transferring textures with R3DS Wrap (link is in the Daz+ forum if you're interested). Enjoy!

In other news, I'm going to have some major dental treatment ahead of me over the forthcoming weeks. There's no emergencies happening or anything, but my teeth have been woefully rejected first due to my cancer treatment, and then the onset of COVID. Now it's finally time to show them some love. Several crowns are on the horizon, an extraction and something that's been on my bucket list for a while: a root canal treatment!
