What to do about SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME post-credits scene?
Added 2024-09-12 14:04:09 +0000 UTCHi my lovely Patreon community!
So I am coming very close to watching Spider-Man: No Way Home as I continue my journey through Spider-Month! I am very excited!
But this leads us to an interesting situation.
As you know, I like to react to these movies without knowing anything about them. The less I know about them, the better -- because the experience of being surprised on camera and not knowing what's coming is so much fun.
Knowing this, my brother alerted me that the post-credits scene in Spider-Man: No Way Home is basically a mini-trailer for the next Dr. Strange movie.
So I'm wondering what I should do about this -- and who better to guide me than my lovely Patrons?
On one hand: the post-credits scene is part of the cinematic experience that everyone else had durin release. YOU stuck around and watched the post-credits scene when you saw No Way Home in the theater, so why should it be any different for me?
On the other hand: wouldn't it be cool to dive into the next Dr. Strange movie without knowing ANYthing about it? Being completely surprised by every turn because I didn't watch a mini-trailer or anything else?
I don't know!

Yeah its just a trailer for the movie i mean you could have seen it on tv or at the movies before it came out so its really up to you.

2024-09-12 17:45:37 +0000 UTCIn your situation, Cristy, I would just skip it and go into DS2 completely blind. Sure, everyone that watched NWH in the theater saw the trailer during the credits, but no one even new what they were even seeing at the time, so naturally they watched it. Plus it was about 5 months in between NWH and DS2 being released, so Marvel was just trying to build up the hype and get everyone excited. You're going to jump from one movie to the next pretty quickly, so I would def just skip it. =)

IMO they are very fun to watch! btw Back To The Future gives away the time setting in the west, so it's a big spoiler! But the MARVEL Mid Scene Credits really don't give away much, just a little hint of things to come!

2024-09-12 16:21:32 +0000 UTCI concur with Mister Avatar. This is not like the post-credit scene in ANT-MAN where they showed a snippet of a future scene that you would later see in CIVIL WAR. This is basically a full-blown trailer and is similar to the scene right after BACK TO THE FUTURE PART II ended that showed you multiple snippets of PART III. You skipped that part when you watched BTTF PART II, and you should skip the DR. STRANGE trailer after NO WAY HOME for the very same reason. 🙂

2024-09-12 14:22:57 +0000 UTCIt literally is a trailer and you know trailers today spoil way too many things in a movie, I'd definitely skip it, you won't miss anything since you'll see the movie eventually anyway
