Hi friends! I hope you've had a good month, thank you for choosing to support me for another cycle of the pin club! I felt like doing something fun and creating a little newsletter summary of what I've been up to, updates, and everything else, especially because I didn't make as many posts this month as I would have liked. I hope you enjoy reading, and let me know if you'd be interested in more of these wrap-ups with a comment or a like ^^

This month has been incredibly busy for me, and it's felt as though I've spent almost every day in my shipping studio getting orders out! As many of you may know, I've run a ton of preorders in the past couple months (pin bags, animal crossing pins, and the exclusives with you guys in the secret shop) and e v e r y t h i n g has arrived this month!
I usually get really anxious waiting around for preorders to arrive cuz I want them here and in your hands ASAP! ****impatient***
As soon as stuff started coming in I got to work on shipping everything out, so that's what I've been up to all week. Luckily I was able to get my partner and our friend to come down and help pack up stuff up and we knocked most of the bag preorders out in one weekend.

It seems as though everything that could go wrong, has gone wrong too! I found out that my shipping service that connects to my online store only imports orders up to 3 months, and won't show up for me to import them all at once - so most of your pin bag shipping labels had to be done one by one by me manually! I'm glad I learned this lesson now though, gonna be way more prepared in the future to save myself the hassle.
Also for the first time getting serious about hiring an assistant that lives in my city to be my first official employee! I've gotta work on a form before I collect resumes, and educate myself about how to properly employ someone + what tasks need to be done. I'm coming to realize that I have big dreams for my shop and brand, and it's time to get some extra hands, so if you're in Hamilton, Ontario keep an eye out for that! xo
I'm really struggling to catch up right now, so I appreciate your patience while I get everything out + deal with customer service and not to mention all of the COVID related delays or misplaced packages related to shipping! I'm looking forward to getting everything out so that I can finally take a breath and get back to drawing and creating!

This month I was able to put some time aside from the business part of things and finally work on a new illustration! You may have seen her on any of my social media accounts!
I got the idea to do another Medusa/Gorgon Girl, but this time sitting on top of one of the men she turned to stone like a throne. I wanted to make her super cute and bubblegummy, straying away from the greens you would usually think of when you think of Medusa, and fitting it into my usual aesthetic!

After putting almost 20 hours into the illustration, learning how to draw a man for the first time in my life and changing my mind a thousand times on what I wanted her to look like.. behold!

I am absolutely in love with the way that she turned out - I tried a bunch of new drawing techniques on her and really put in the time to continue perfecting her, revisiting the drawing every day to change something until I was able to sculpt exactly what I was envisioning!
I'm going to be making some merch of her, an acrylic figurine (like the haku and Penelope ones that are sold out on my shop) stickers, a print, and an enamel pin.
I'm going to update my shop next weekend with these items! I also made you guys a wallpaper for your phones (that you can download in the attachments)
Here is also a look at how I set up acrylic figurines - the grey is just a chosen background to show the stars, the actual figure will be clear as if she popped out of the screen and is sitting on your desk or shelf in real life!

I'll be updating the shop next weekend (sept 5th most likely) with a restock of all of the animal crossing pins, a couple of the leftover pin bags, a new keychain, and updating the patreon shop with the leftover Powerpuff girl items! SO stay tuned for that if that's what you're after, but other than that:

Now all that's left for me to do is to start designing some spooky stuff for the October theme, which I hope to introduce to you in the next week! Thank you so much for reading, supporting my artwork and staying subscribed, love you!
