Important update about my art tools and output.

The last couple of months I have not been too active online nor posted any art recently, the reason being I’m changing and adapting to new tools to produce my
illustrations and animations moving forth.

Up until very recently I’ve been using Clip Studio Paint to produce all my content.

As you may know the ownership and control of software such as Clip Studio Paint is being taken away and replaced by a “Software as a Service” model, mandatory online  accounts and other arbitrary license limitations which hinders users the ability to utilize software as they see fit.

For me to continue using this proprietary software is as much of a detriment as it is a liability.  So I’ve switched to Krita, a Free Open Source Software application, as the primary tool that’ll be using to produce my art from now on.

I’m also discontinuing the use of Windows as the primary operating system for my computers.

Windows has become an OS that takes more and more system requirements which each new version and intrusively data mines user's information.

As such, I’ve been using Linux Mint on a back-up computer to the point I’ve become comfortable enough to make it my daily driver in my main computer as well.

At this point I’m willing to spend the time and effort necessary to fully adapt to this new work environment if it means that I no longer have to deal with artificial impositions that dictate how to use the software I need on the hardware that I own.

The last few things I need to do is to convert my archived Clip Studio files to .PSDs to make them readable by Krita if I need to access these again in the future.

As I fully adapt to this new work environment, my rhythm of output will improve and you can expect new art updates and content from me soon on more of a regular basis.

So for the time being I offer my best wishes to everyone on this coming year and my thanks for your continued support and interest in my work.

Truth be told it is working better than I expected, as a matter of fact, except for the background, the recent commissions I did for you were completed using Krita.

It is different in many respects but it is quite powerful and feature rich (In some respects it even beats Clip Studio) plus it gets updated often and I don't have to worry about in how many computers I can install it.

Here's hoping the transition is a smooth one

Unusual Unity

too bad for clip studio and the as service modele. I hope Krita will be powerful enough for you.
