Mantle of the Condor

The non-epistolary follow up to LettersNumberLines. Tried working with parallel storylines and deep thematics here - also the first time I've done a whole piece in the present tense in a long time. Let me know what you think!

LettersNumbersLines (Public Release)

A fixation on the concept of 'Epistolary fiction' sparked the use of this format, though some more general concepts I have had for some time inspired by Paul Shapera's Slenderman Opera are at play in the story, combined with some setting work for a friend's Monster of the Week game.

You can expect more of this universe and these characters in specific next month, as I have already begun work on a continuation of this narrative in a non-epistolary format.

Elegiac Sickness

Entropy Wars Rulebook (WIP)

It's been a month, so I apologise that this isn't a pure piece of prose.

Here's a mostly finished rulebook for a game I've been meaning to return to sooner rather than later. Any feedback on it would be interesting, but I remain proud of the work I put into the lore and worldbuilding, which in my previous system designs has not been at the forefront. There is easily 5,000+ words of creative writing here, though the wordcount of the book is much longer.

The Strength of Old Things

At 10,796 words, this is the longest piece I have written since I was writing Les Souers Amical. It is about motherhood and childhood as a strange and isolated pair of things. It is more than a little bit based on my mother and I, and her mother and herself. This constitutes both this month's 5,000 and next months.
