We've been hard at work making flowers; here's a little sneak preview from a work-in-progress of the water lilies (one of the 6 different kinds we'll try to squeeze in for July). The flowers will be another example of getting to know the girls, and boosting your liking.
Each set of flowers can only be harvested so often; match the identical pairs to create a bouquet, then work out which of the girls would like it.
This little scene also reuses the water animation tech from the fishing minigame; it tracks the mouse cursor (or finger) and runs the result through a custom shader to distort the water. It's a tiny thing, but fun to implement.
Next up we need to integrate all the flower collecting minigames, write and puppeteer all the dialog for giving flowers to girls, and implement vases in each room that will showcase the right flowers. It's a lot of work for a small feature like this, but it's the kind of thing that shows love for the game.
Hope you enjoy the next update; as always you can keep updated on latest developments on Discord, and see things as it rolls out using the Beta branch.
