0.3.4 goes public
Added 2020-12-10 08:14:30 +0000 UTCWe're a week behind schedule on this one, somewhat frustrating. Behind the scenes were doing a bunch of things to try to make the initial hour better, and more fun.
The big push is opening up the world, and giving the player control over the world faster. This isn't being implemented in 0.3.4, but over the next few weeks we'll be opening up quests faster, letting the players have more control over which story-lines they want to pursue and making the game less linear.
We've also started work on the dating sim mechanic; I'll try to do a post on that later on this week, since it's gotten quite interesting. The first pass is in-game today, so you can check it out; it worked out to be nearly 60 pages worth of background conversations about the girls, to let you get to know them better (and grow their affection levels). As part of the dating sim mechanic, Sven has been hard at work making selfies the girls will send you as your relationship progresses.
Finally we added a new fishing minigame, and some more intimate events, including everyone's favorite Goth, Raven.
