Bandages Episode Discussion
Added 2023-10-30 19:57:25 +0000 UTCWe haven't had Vinyl and Octavia in awhile... oh no, they are sad. Not a sad comic!!! We've done stuff like this before, and I still don't like how fast of a turn-around Tavi has here, but it is just six panels. This is building up to something bigger in the series, but leads us back into the Vinyl and her mature vids situation.
She begins to think that if she can buy stuff and make Octavia happy, it is good enough reason to continue doing what she is doing... even if she doesn't like doing it. That's friendship right there.
The title "Bandages" sums this up perfectly. They are just bandaging the situatation and no one is actually taking steps to solve it. Sometimes you just don't know what the steps are to even begin.
We play with perspective a bit in panel three, and I love how that turned out! Credit to the artists! Tavi's head bonk on panel five is silly, and 'Bold and Brash' returns hanging on the wall in panel six. Vinyl fans even get some music horse plot in the first two panels!
