Since we have the suit on, I'm sure we could press the button no problem, but since the boogie is in here with us now, I have a bad feeling that the button would only trap us with the boogie....

I'm gonna assume the thump thump is Cass's heartbeat and not further shuffling that makes more noise, ergo making staying in the locker risky by virtue of MAKING NOISE IN A HORROR SCENARIO.

Okay, let's bare something in mind. The suit makes her physically at peak preformace and defends from electricity and projectiles. Boogies are dangerous because every victim they absorb adds to the total knowledge of the hive. The only weakness we know they have, from the previous CYOA, is they cannot deal with below 0 temperatures. They turn into a ice brick. Staying in the locker is risky, but trying to race for the button feels more manageable, *IF* at peak physical performance we are faster than the Booby.

There's still the locker door between the boogie and Cass. Should it get too close or notice/lunge towards her, could use it as a shield to knock it aside without touching it. Just needs a well-timed shove to open.

It was stated that it clings to skin, with our suit on we are faster and time it when it is facing away from us

Even if we can reach the button before the boogie gets us, we can only *assume* the button closes the door... and if we do close it before the boogie leaves, we're just trapping ourselves with it. That can't end well.

I wouldn't exactly say 'suicidal', as from what we know, that isn't how Boogies work. I also said a chance. Both actions could work or fail horribly, but being safe and cautious gives us more chances, imo.

And its intentionally "suicidal" so, leaving might lead us to being cornered like being swarmed into a corner during the Library from Halo Combat Evolved. EDIT: Plus something might be coming into the room, so its possibly best to wait to see whatever it was that came into the room after we got that first game over.

Playing it safe and cautiously wouldn't be a bad idea. Besides, if the button is hit and it doesn't return, then we've got a Boobie stuck outside of its chamber. Also, it doesn't have arms, so it'd have to leave if were to try and open the locker, giving us a chance of escape, if a risky one.
