Starlight's Gift Episode Discussion
Added 2023-01-30 21:57:45 +0000 UTCWe sort of neglected showing Starlight and Gray over 2022 because it didn't seem like people cared a whole lot. We built up a story line with many possible outcomes and weaving ties, but then sort of laid back on it. But our goal is to make it a bit more prominent in 2023. Another thing we tried out this year was instead of having a "Christmas" themed comic around Twilight, instead we gave that honor to Starlight. Even the previous episode was with Rainbow Dash, no Twilight in sight.
Nonetheless, this episode was a HUGE moment for Starlight and the series as it will move Starlight and Gray into new territory for many possibly storylines. She's beyond the days of Spike and now fully enveloped in the arms of Gray.
There is nothing usually romantic about a grocery store parking lot, but we had fun making it somewhat "cinematic" for a comic series and having them kiss under the light of a street lamp. Wow, we showed a kiss? We better censor this kind of stuff. ;-)
