2021-07-21 03:27:53 +0000 UTCEnjoyed this episode! I’m surprised that Run for Cover’s Mixed Signals comp didn’t get a mention when Bob asked what comps Pat’s been on though. That always seemed like a comp that did it right: every song on it was previously unreleased (and all but the Polar Bear Club track, which was taken from a forthcoming album, remained exclusive to the comp), thought was given to running order and thus it flowed like a good mixtape. Also, there’s a No Sleep/Topshelf joint sampler thing out there which, whilst much more of a “just throw something by all our artists on there” kinda thing, did feature a version of Drug Church’s “Mohawk” without the guest vocalists; when Pat yells that bridge, he sounds as menacing and angry as I’ve ever heard him!
