Strike a Pose (Chorus)

Am I the only one who has taking advantage of social isolation by striking new innovative poses? When nobody is watching, you can get fearlessly creative and really push things to the limit.

We did the intro to this song a few weeks back - if you haven't already seen it, go check it out too!

Pro Tips:

- This one is spanky. To accomplish the spank, hit the strings with confidence and gusto. If you have a strat, put the pickup selector on the 2nd or 4th position (the spank positions). If you have a 2 pickup guitar, use the middle position (a little less spanky but still spanky).

- For fingering, this riff is in the 1st position, although you'll temporarily depart every time the 3rd fret slides up to the 5th.  The slides make it sassy.

- Like any of the clean funky stuff, muting is key! Quick tip - the underside of the 1st finger lays lightly on all the higher strings to prevent them from ringing (for example, strings 1-4 when it's fretting the 5th string, or 1-3 when it's fretting the 4th string).  Also, when I'm not fretting with my 3rd finger, it lightly touches the strings below the one I'm playing (so if I'm playing the 5th string, it'll mute the 6th. Or if I'm playing the 4th string, it'll mute strings 5-6).
