Hey Everyone!!
We hope you're enjoying your week so far! We have some exciting news to share with you regarding our reaction videos!
Over the past few weeks, we’ve been carefully considering how to best deliver our content while respecting copyright laws and ensuring a smooth experience for our editors. After A TON research and even reviewing some legal documentation, we’ve decided to bring back our full-length reactions with the reference footage included. 🎉
Why the Change?
Enhanced Experience: Many of you have expressed a preference for including the footage in the full-length reactions. Big reason was, many of you do not have access to a second screen for the watch alongs. We did always believe this format allows for a more immersive and engaging experience, but we made the switch for several reasons a couple of months ago. Recently we decided to go back and reassess and discovered the following -
Copyright Considerations: While YouTube has stricter policies, we’ve found that our content can qualify as fair use on Patreon, which will allow us to include the reference footage here. We’re committed to providing awesome content while also playing by the rules. And we will continue this route as long as we're able to 🙌🏼 😁
Improved Interaction: Being able to pause and chat about scenes in real-time will make our commentary even better. Plus, we can go back and catch anything we might have missed in real time, giving you a more complete reaction. This was VERY MUCH missed.
What This Means for You
Starting next week, all new reaction videos will include the reference footage. We know this will add some work for our editors, but we’re currently tweaking our process to try and keep things running smoothly.
In addition to all of this, we’re going to start updating all our previous reactions to include the reference footage, starting with Attack on Titan Season 2 and 3. This will be a work in progress, so we do appreciate your patience. We know you’ve been waiting for this, so we’re excited to bring these enhanced reactions to you.
Thanks so much for your patience and support as we make this transition. Your feedback has been super helpful! We can't wait to keep sharing our reactions with you in the best way possible.
Please, if there are any questions ask away. We'll do our best to answer as many as we can
