Today's episode goes by quick but not without dropping a lot of info on us! Still so many questions. We really dive in to the info provided and our theories today. Let us know in the comments if we are on to something or way off!

Eren's Dad, Grisha, was a Titan Shifter (Intelligent Titan) from whom Eren got his Titan ability after eating him. As you saw, Grisha purposely turned Eren into a Titan by injecting that 'serum', had himself eaten, so Eren could have his titan power. Eren (as a pure titan) ate Grisha (a titan shifter) who ate Freida (a titan shifter with royal blood), now revealing Eren a titan shifter who possesses 2 titan powers. But to clarify, only the titan's power is acquired, not the bloodline. So if you think about it, the power to erase memories is something that of a Royal bloodline only. So with Eren possessing Freida's titan, but him not being a royal, he won't be able to use the memory erasing ability. If there's a way to use the royal titan's abilities without being a royal is actually unclear at this point. Freida's titan is a titan that's being passed on by generation within their bloodline because of its specific abilities only their bloodline can use, which is now gone from them, the reason why Historia's dad is after Eren, to bring it back to their royal family. Take note also that Rod Reiss story is HIS side of the story. So think about what Eren's Dad side of the story is, like why he did that, because Historia's dad didn't mention why. I mean, there should be a reason right? :D

2024-09-07 16:54:50 +0000 UTCJust a few clarifications: 1. levi and mikasa are likely very distant cousins because kenny's grandpa specifies that they are from different branches of the ackermann clan. 2. historia was not part of the scene where the reiss family are seen holding hands. Her father clarifies that he has 5 legitimate children. 3. The info disclosure you guys read at the end clarifies that the "Royal family's titan" has the power to alter memories, not just the royal family in general. So that means titans from the reiss family i.e. Freida have that power, and if eren's dad ate freida, and eren ate his dad, it begs the question that does eren also have that power now? or is it just the titans who are blood related to the reiss family? but either way this means the royal family does not have this power right now, which makes clear why they so badly want eren. 4. Lord reiss' story and eren's memory show eren's dad converting into a titan, which means he was already an intelligent titan. So we have to wonder first how did his dad become a pure titan to begin with, and who did he eat before freida to become an intelligent titan. 5. Also if you go back to the episode of ymir talking to reiner and bertoldt, it becomes clear from then that pure titans eat intelligent titans to become intelligent titans. This conversation is remembered by Eren and passed on to Hange who puts 2 and 2 together. And we know in another episode Hange reports this to Erwin so it makes sense how everyone is in the loop about this info
