2024-06-03 01:19:35 +0000 UTCRegarding the death of Hiromatsu, I felt like the argument and ensuing act was impromptu by him once he noticed one of the Edo generals reach for his sword. At that instance he probably felt that anyone other than himself would create only a minor impact on Toranaga's decision. So he (Hiromatsu) said everything that would create that massive impact and proceeded. The lonliest man in the realm, Toranaga, read the room and followed his only friend's lead with a breaking heart. The writing on this show is just top notch. I love it when the writers toy with our emotions. I curse and scream at them but can't wait until the next episode!
