I am currently wallpapering my Victorian cottage hallway / entrance. I have a beautiful black gothic unit which was made in London in the 19th century which sits against a green Victorian wallpaper with gold accents, sitting on the unit is my crafted potion bottle from the craft along!

My father died after he had a accident in the home when he fell down the stairs. It was unexpected and no one was prepared for it. Before his cell phone service was stopped, I used to call his cell phone just to hear his voice from his recorded message about leaving a message. One time I did leave a message., just to say I loved him and missed him. I wished we had done something like what you're doing with your mom. You never know what can happen or when.

They have various sizes to choose, you cut up the t-shirt panels, mail it in, and then they mail you the completed quilt. The idea is not only to recycle but provide fair wage labor. That being said, I'm sure you could make something similar all on your own. I used my dad's old t-shirts. Maybe you have fabrics you don't know what to do with that are special, or have garments from your mom or other family members. Anyway, just an idea. I love that you're doing that with your family.

I thought you should know about a particular service that I've heard of that I have been meaning to sign up for myself. The service is called Storyworth. Storyworth sends personalized questions via email (approved by you) to a loved one of your choice throughout the span of a year. The loved one then responds to those questions via email, and at the end of the year the Storyworth team compiles all of those stories together and creates a specialized keepsake book. Even "basic" home remodels take months upon months for just one room, and house additions can take years, never mind updating something not modern. Take your time, do things right as you please, and do not stress.
