An incredibly beautiful restoration with an ending I didn't see coming. I'm sure that'll have me walking around with the lights on when I'm at home! I like the idea that you'd leave the parasol there if you do ever leave. That it would kind of live on renewed. I'd really want to take it with me though.

An audio book is nice for when you do creative projects. I sometimes put on a Christine McConnell video I have already watched and have that on in the background. <3 Or even Netflix’s Curious Creations of Christine McConnell. Her passion and excitement while being calm helps me stay calm and makes me feel creative. She helps keep me centered and focused on doing projects to the best of my abilities and to be in the project, instead of rushing to the end result. I’m am curious if you do research on these items before taking them apart? I wouldn’t imagine a lot of cotton umbrellas lasting over 140 years it might have been worth something or donated to a museum. I’m just curious. I love what you did with it though.

Brilliant creation--restoring a parasol you found from an attic that has bats in it and then making a bat the center piece is perfect! Yes, the bat parasol should stay in the attic for many generations to come.

If it was actually used as an umbrella the cotton on it might have been waxed at one point , if you don’t keep it up it does eventually come off , especially if it was used often .

epic, as always! I am actually working on a series of crochet parasols and I repurpose old umbrella frames in the process. It was so fun to work on my parasol while watching you create yours! :)

This project was so inspiring! I’m from Arizona. That summer sun is a killer, something like this would make all the difference!

Unbelievably beautiful and the last frame was so effective displaying it over your beautiful model!

Also, have you ever done anything with stained glass? Something to consider...

If it was actually used as an umbrella the cotton on it might have been waxed at one point , if you don’t keep it up it does eventually come off , especially if it was used often .
