Re watching old videos of course, but I wanted to say in case nobody else did, sergers are only $200-$300 I definitely would recommend getting one even if you don’t sew everyday.

Christine, another great audio book is ‘Devil in the White City’ by Erik Larson. The NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • The true tale of the 1893 World's Fair in Chicago and the cunning serial killer ( H. H. Holmes ) who used the magic and majesty of the fair to lure his victims to their death. It’s excellent!

Agree about the garment district in nyc. Mood is expensive but they do have some gems. You can also get some amazing brocades for good prices in other shops on 37th, 38th and 39th street. You will def want to check out SIL thread and Steinhof and Stohler on 38th and CAI trimming on 37th. It’s close to port authority so can be kinda sketchy. It’s also nyc so many of the fabric stores you can haggle (not mood) esp if you’re buying major yardage or paying cash. There are also two great fake plant shops on 28th street between 6th and 7th ave. You will also LOVE gothic renaissance on Lafayette near 11th street and their enormous year round Halloween store next door.

I agree with Jennifer Urrea, a trip to NYC,s garment district would feel like Disneyland to you. While in NYC you can head over to Brooklyn where you can find the most amazing , affordable vintage shops. Let me know if you ever decided to come and I’ll put a list together for you of the cool shops. On a side note, I paid off all my bills this year and the only bill I have is my Patreon bill (which I upgraded to The $40 tier. ) It’s the only expense I really need to keep me entertained and happy!

Those curtains really do look Victorian. Amazing! And that house really is kitty cat heaven! And you are genius planner. I am in awe of all the preparation you must have done before you even bought the fabric. It looks gorgeous.

The sewing projects always leave me in awe as I have no talent nor comprehension of it. It just seems like magic and seeing the final result, with the room all done, is just phenomenal. Like you said, it really does make a room!

I love this! I recently refinished and reuphostered two elaborate art nouveau looking italian chairs and I bought extra fabric to make curtains with. I needed to make heavy curtains to block out the winter drafts and I wanted something ornate and victorian. These are perfect.

You did a fantastic job with the drapes and really transformed the room! And you’re so calm and patient with the kitties playing with the fabrics. I’m usually terrified their nails are going to get caught in the fabrics. But then I just laugh with their silliness! Archimedes is adorable btw! Xx

I can't believe how much the drapes changed the entire feeling of the room - it went from rustic to elegant! And the little wired cut-out with the crystal was a tiny addition with a big impact! Now the room that you hang out in is as gorgeous as the rest!

It's amazing you managed to get anything done with your little 'helpers'! The curtains are gorgeous and a huge inspiration. BTW, a serger is not always the best answer, they can be terribly capricious and eat SO much thread. Also, is there a way we can see that beautiful pink dress closer? It suits you so much and the embroidery is gorgeous.

i didn't realize it until I watched this episode but I really missed the music. It just ads so much to the feel. Your drapes turned out lovely and just transformed the room in an astonishing way! Honestly though, your housemates completely stole the show on this video. What a riot! The are so supportive and helpful in a completely unhelpful way. So much cuteness! Your fluffy dog knows how to rock a santa outfit. And omg the cats! Thank you for including them in the video, they are a joy to watch.

You’re really bringing this beautiful home to life! You are so talented and incredibly creative. These drapes look perfect for the home and I’m sure the ghosts appreciate everything you do to bring out the beauty of the home that had been lost for quite some time.
